Land Acknowledgment

OUR COMMITMENT TO RECONCILIATION

We at The Pale Blue Dot would like to acknowledge the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishnaabeg on which we are gathering, operating, working and learning everyday. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties, is within the lands protected by the “Dish With One Spoon” wampum agreement and is directly adjacent to Haldiman Treaty territory.

It is important to us that we acknowledge the land, as the traditional names of these territories deserve to be recognized, spoken, and honoured. It is our duty as dwellers of this sacred  land which was permitted to us by the Indigenous Peoples.

We are committed, in our very mission, to protect and honour this land and her people.
We are committed to being open to learn how we can do better each and every day.
