A romaine -type lettuce with the texture of a butterhead. Dark green leaves on vigorous plants produce large 40cm (15”) long by 13 cm (6"wide) heads quickly. Grow in full sun to partial shade in average, well-drained soil. Sow seed directly in garden after the chance of heavy frost has passed. Cool season plants, they can tolerate a light frost. Good companion to cabbage, carrots, chives, onions and beets. 70 days.
