These beautiful handmade wool blankets can be used as a warm throw, or rug to brighten any room.
Small Throw (38" x 58")
Large Jete Throw (56" x 72")
Gérald and Lyne Lévesque’s are renowned their wool blankets, particularly the heritage catalognes, a rag-woven 17th century-style of carpet or thick bed coverlet that is their speciality and which have been featured in Canadian House and Home Magazine. The name Magély incorporates syllables from both their names and Gérald’s mother’s because this traditional weaving has been the Drummond, New Brunswick family business for over fifty years.
Magély’s table linens, throws and bed blankets are woven in a variety of colours, including modern bright stripes, but it’s the muted traditional ones that are enjoying renewed popularity. The blankets are tightly woven and don’t lose their shape, either, if you wash them alone on the cold water cycle. The smallest throw size would make a lovely picnic blanket.
